8th August 2008little group of anachronistic misfits and proper LA tour guides. I said hello to people I knew strewn about the patio and bar room and took my seat next to my peppy new acquaintence. Born in Odessa, Texas and raised in Lead, South Dakota (which immediately piqued my interest it being so close to historical Deadwood and the black hills) she told me stories about teenage life in the Midwest. Arrested at 18 for painting colorful political slogans on the local barber pole, hospitalized the same year for heisting her lovers motorcycle and joyriding to disaster. I shared some tales, she listened attentively, and we were getting along perfectly fine. When I thought it was a good time I inquired how she might’ve ended up here in Hollywood. Hypnotism. According to Julie there was an untapped market and need for a good hypnotist here in Los Angeles and in my slightly slippery-minded state she made perfect sense. There was a shortage of hypnotists; at least I think there was.
